C414 Aircraft - The Cessna 414 is an American light, twin-engine transporter manufactured by Cessna. It first flew in 1968 and by 1978 a modified variant was introduced as the Chancellor 414A.
The pressurized 414 was designed to appeal to owners of exposed and twin aircraft and was used in the Cessna 421 fuselage and the Cessna 401 fuselage. The unit and retractable tricycle expose the gear. It is powered by two wing-mounted 310 hp (231 kW) Continental TSIO-520-J horizontally opposed six-cylinder engines. The prototype, registered N7170C, first flew on 1 November 1968 and the production aircraft were available in several sessions and with optional avionics packages. The Chancellor name has been used for models sold since 1976. A modified version of the Cessna 414A Chancellor was introduced in 1978, the main changes being a redesigned and enlarged wing with integral fuel tanks and a flared nose to provide more luggage space.

Many types of add-on certifications are available for aircraft modifications to improve performance. There are common modifications of air traps, including wings.

In 1974, American Jet Industries built a turboprop conversion of the Cessna 414, named the Turbo Starpress 414, using Allison 250-B17B engines.
This is a FADC regulated aviation diesel piston assembly that runs on conventional jet fuel. Thielert claims increased power and increased fuel economy over other conventional piston engines available.
The 414 was modified with a slimmer vertical tail, a length-tied wet-tip wing tank, a single nose, a new landing gear and two 310 hp (231kW) TSIO-520-N engines, the 554 was built. On December 10, 1969, Cessna announced. The twin-engine airplane introduces a new thrust known as the Model 414, which uses the Model 421's basic fuselage and tail unit with the Model 401's wings powered by two TSIO-520-J triple turbocharged engines. - Multi-bladed propeller 1.94 m (6 ft 4½ in) in diameter. 414 Belgian Monoplane model fixed wing wingtip fuel tank. The conventional fuselage was an all-steel semi-monocoque structure loaded in cross-section. The tail unit was also a cantilevered metal structure and a tricycle-type undercarriage with an electro-mechanical drive. The new Model 414 was designed to compete with the Model 421.

The prototype model 414 first flew on November 1, 1968. Of a total of 1,055 Model 414s built, production of this model ceased in 1985 due to product liability issues with the lightest aircraft in the United States.
The aircraft's payload and space performance initially received some criticism, and in 1979 an updated variant featured a new swept wing, no rear spoiler, a longer nose, a new undercarriage, a better tail and increased baggage capacity. At this time it received the name Chancellor and became the model 414A, the engines were fitted with Continental TSIO-520N units. Cessna describes the 414 as "The lowest price push-pull twin you can buy."
Throughout history this type has had some progress. In 1982, the 414A Chancellor III model appeared and was the largest model. There were basic models available for the chancellor without avionics to meet the needs of the aircraft; The Chancellor II is equipped with the 400 Series Avionics Kit and standard optional features on the base model; and the Chancellor III with 1000 Series avionics, monochromatic weather radar and air conditioning as standard.
A variation of the Model 414 known as the Leo (Cessna) Rocket 414 was produced by Leo. This includes the installation of a 298 kW (400 hp) Lycing IO-720-B1BD eight-cylinder engine with turbo-supercharger groups and intercoolers. This model has a cruising speed of 483 km/h (300 mph) at 7,315 m (24,000 ft).

Another conversion was the RAM Super 414AW. This company, Ram Aircraft Corporation of Waco, Texas, specializes in power plants and accessories. He built a new engine mount, replaced the neoprene casting material with silicone material and improved the new exhaust system and engines, fitting the engines containing the TSIO-520-NBR 242 kW (325 hp). Some were installed and made and the weight increased from 3,062 kg (6,750 lb) to 3,215 kg (7,087 lb) in the 414A model.
In 1986, Australian Cessna distributor Rex Aviation introduced the wide-door Cessna 400 series and said it received a good response from overseas customers. He then undertook the conversion of air to this configuration at Transavia in Sydney NSW. A variation of the 414 series known as the 414A-1 model. Expand to two parts of the air with two or three hosts. This modification reduced the expansion and unloading of the spread, but also helped in the loading of parts.
