Aplc Glock - Years ago, it was rare to see anyone outside of the military or law enforcement carrying a firearm. As lights became more compact and less expensive, they became more common. Many citizens began to fire their concealed guns. Inforce has launched a new product that will make this easier.
Traditionally, adding a flash to your favorite compact gun also adds unwanted bulk and makes it harder to conceal. Fire adds length, if not bulk, to the gun. Inforce solved this problem by taking one of the most popular concealed carry pistols, the Glock 19, and designing a gun that fills the empty space under the dust cover.

The Inforce APLc Weapon Light is no larger than a Glock 19 slide and does not protrude beyond the barrel of the gun. For less than two ounces, it adds 200 lumens of pure white light without any distortion. When worn in the IWB (in-the-belt) position of the accessory, the minimum size is not noticeable. If you remove the strap, you have no excuse not to fire your gun.

The main (and really only) reason to carry a flashlight is to be able to identify targets in potentially lethal situations. Although some of us are lumens, 200 lumens may be too much for a flashlight. Most shooters will have trouble hitting targets far enough away to be on the edge of the APLc.
On a dark and dangerous night, with a gun, I need all the LUMENS. In urban areas, 200 lumens APLc is acceptable considering its small package.
The first APL had some problems with the quick release system. This was decided in other generations. In terms of APLc, Inforce has chosen the least expensive approach. The mounting system uses a classic cross-bolt design. The screw goes through the APLc body and through the hole in the G19 dust cap. On the other hand, it is inserted into the metal core inside the heater body. Be careful when closing the crossbar to prevent the cable from coming loose or bursting. It is a simple and effective computing task.
Inforce APLc management sets it apart from the competition. The APLc is ambidextrous and allows access to temporary or permanent light. In normal two-handed shooting, it is easy to hit the paddle shifter with the thumb of the fulcrum part of the hand. Touching the quick release will turn the light on continuously. Another hand on the release will turn it off. Holding the paddle for more than half a second will put it in a temporary position. Releasing the paddle will turn it off. If the light is on, in forward mode, pressing the throttle for more than 1/2 second and releasing it will also turn off the light. It's more complicated to write than to work.

Where APLc really leaves the competition is when only one hand can operate the gun. In such a case, the main thing is to be able to turn on the light with your own hands, and be able to move quickly. APLc paddles are easily accessible for most index fingers. A quick touch while the gun is going up will turn on the light in advance mode. The index finger is free to operate the trigger. When it's time to move, tap the paddle again and away you go. This is an easy task to do when you have kids and your mind is working in the middle of the night.
In the tool created specifically for this purpose, the model should allow to work. Appearance should be the last thing you should pay attention to. In this case, Inforce improved the original APL appearance. The perfect APL we currently use on our SIG 1911 has a gray finish. It doesn't look bad compared to the flat gray and black finish of this gun, it looks a bit out of place compared to the deep black of Glock's polymer frame. For Inforce, it makes sense to use matte black polymer for Glock's specific APLc. The color and texture match the frame of the Glock. The style of the APLc falls in line with the Glock and makes it seem like a more well thought out system than a clip accessory. Inforce went on to spot APLc paddles to perfectly fit the popular custom centerpiece on Instagram.
Overall, Inforce has done a fantastic job of creating a light that complements the Glock 19 without making it a great concealed carry pistol. What's even more surprising is that Inforce offers this US-made light for $150 MSRP.
Although this light is designed for the Glock 19, it will fit any Glock pistol with a Glock-spec rail (that horrible G21 picatinny should not be included). Also fits many other pistols with heavy glock rails. We haven't had a chance to test it with the H&K VP9 or the S&W M&P, but we'll report back when we get a chance to test match.
